Rossburn Village Council Holds Routine February Meeting
The Rossburn Village Council met February 21 1961 in the Council Chambers with Mayor J G Stitt and councillors Wladyka Aylwin Antoniw Drosdoski present. They approved January financials, requested grants for rest room maintenance, appointed Mike Baubie to the Rossburn Medical Nursing Unit, passed lighting bylaw changes, urged highway attention through Riding Mountain National Park, and approved a 50 dollar grant to the Rossburn Agricultural Society for 1961. The meeting adjourned to March 21 1961 for court of revision and general meeting.

Local Tom Thumbs Triumph In Championship Playoff
Rossburn Tom Thumbs clinched the title with a 8-2 win at Minnedosa on Saturday, sweeping the best of three series in two games. Ducharme scored three goals with one assist, Carson had two goals and an assist, Brown two assists, Lawless and Brykaliuk added goals, while Minnedosa were the south division champions.
