Inter-Faith Scout Service in Rossburn Honors Venturer Canoeing Trip
An inter-faith service at Rossburn Town Hall marked Scout-Guide Week with Scouts from Rossburn in uniforms. Rev. J. Lehky and Rev. B. Penny led the service, Daryl Michalchuk read the 23rd Psalm, followed by fellowship and lunch. Slides showcased Venturer canoeing expeditions to Winnipeg via the Assiniboine and a Rossman Lake trip, commemorating the 72 summer voyage with a trophy presented by W. E. Stefanuk and crests by Mrs. H. Komhyr.

The Rossburn Ladies Bonspiel ran February 16 to 18 with twelve rinks from Oakburn Birdtail Vista and local clubs. In the first event Janet Ziemianski Oakburn won, Mary Klym Rossburn was second, Karen Borowski Rossburn and June Koloski Birdtail placed third and fourth. Second event winners were Lorna Hemeryck Rossburn with Joan Baker Vista as runner up. Nettie Hrysak Vista and Mildred Heindle Rossburn followed. Third event saw Ann Moan Rossburn win, Marilyn Moulson Rossburn as runner up, Jean Mervyn Rossburn third, Betty Anne Slon Rossburn fourth.

Neepawa Convention Promotes Applied Christianity
A. Sartison of the Rossburn Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses set forth that the most effective influence for human betterment is applied Christianity after two days of dramas interviews and training at a Neepawa Manitoba convention. Over 20 Rossburn members attended the event.

Elimination of Larger High Schools Urged at Winnipeg Conference
A Manitoba Teachers' Society and Department of Education conference in Winnipeg February 19 to 21 urged eliminating large high schools to create multi aged, multi graded "families" of up to 200 learners. Speakers urged trust between teachers and students, focus on life skills, and learning as counsellors over product driven schooling. about 400 attended including 300 teachers and 15 students from across the province.

Rossburn Curlers Win Zone X Playoffs
Rossburn’s boys outplayed Strathclair and Russell to win the Zone X Boys Curling Trophy, marking the first time Rossburn’s name appears on the trophy since its 1962–63 plaques. The girls’ team from Rossburn lost both games, while Strathclair captured the Girls Zone X trophy after defeating Hamiota in the final.
