Shareholders Push to Reach 300 Members for Plant Project
The June 22 meeting at Buffalo Plains Inn noted 160 shareholders now exist but 300 are required under the Seed Cleaning Plant Act. The steering committee will run until 300 are reached, then a new general meeting will decide if the plant proceeds or is dropped. A $100 share with $25 down and a 2 cent per bushel grain surcharge was proposed, with two cents split between loan repayment and interest.
