Local residents spent weekends visiting relatives in Brandon Cypress River and Winnipeg. A graduation at Knox United Church Brandon saw 56 graduates with Hon R W Bond delivering the address. Jill Lorette Hodgkinson celebrated a newborns arrival in Winnipeg.
Many from the district attended the ball tournament last Saturday and reported very well played games. Mr. and Mrs. C Palmer visited Mr. and Mrs. R Doubleday. Congratulations to Mrs. Geo Wight who will celebrate her 80th birthday on July 4. Bryan and Valley school picnic set for Friday June 28 at Bryan school. A Sawchuk has opened the move previously occupied by Mrs. C Hamilton.
A Missionary TP of Hong Kong will address the Pentecostal Church on Wednesday July 3 at 8 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend this public event.
The Armstrong family expresses gratitude to Rossburn and district for kindness and sympathy after bereavement. Thank you to friends for flowers cards visits to Mrs. Armstrong in hospital, to Dr Krywulak nurses and staff, pallbearers Mr Ferguson and others who helped during this time. Tom Armstrong and Jean
Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Andrew traveled to Yorkton last Thursday with Mr. A. Andrew and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Mansell. A large crowd attended Argyle Presbyterian church Wednesday evening for a fine sermon by Rev. Afflect of the Winnipeg Bible Institute, joined by the regular pastor Mr. Pollock and visiting missionaries Hugh Campbell and others including Miss Klink of Rossburn.
Mr. and Mrs. Ewanchuk and Cornelia visited the Shewchuks in Brandon Saturday. A. A. Forde and Harold Brown attended the MFAC convention in Winnipeg this week. Hamiltons and friends traveled to Birtle and Rusell as relatives hosted gatherings.
