Village Council appoints acting secretary treasurer in Rossburn
The Rossburn council met June 20 1975 to dismiss the secretary treasurer and appoint Leonard A. Makedenski as acting secretary treasurer effective immediately. Mayor Louis Kurehaba presided with council members Slow Drosdoski Plaister and Barrie Lee. By law 499 was read third time and passed.

The Rural Municipality of Rossburn held a special meeting on June 19 1975 at 7 30 p m in Council Chambers. All council members attended with Acting Reeve Joe Dnistiansky presiding and Abe Loepky present. The unanimous motion decided not to fill the Reeve vacancy and for Joe Dnistiansky to continue as Acting Reeve until a new Reeve is elected.

Resignation of Rossburn Reeve Sparks Council Resolution
The last regular Rossburn council meeting reviewed Reeve John Mitchells resignation, deeming it unwarranted and unfounded despite his claim of administrative problems. The council approved his resignation almost unanimously, citing the need to improve relations between councils as separate administrations now exist in the municipal office.

Weather breaks allowed ball and golf play last week. Rossburn Merchants lost 4 3 to Shoal Lake then beat Birtle and Foxwarren to reach the B side final losing 8 7 to Pizzy Place of Brandon. Elementary teams played Elphinstone round robin with Angusville topping girls and Elphinstone boys overall. Golf clinic at Rossman Lake drew 15 golfers led by Gil Verrier from Dauphin.
