Rural Council Seeks Road Aid and Property Sale Action
The Rural Municipality of Rossburn council met June 11 with Reeve Alex Cleland and councillors present. It approved May 31 financials and 1965 audit, sought a $2,500 per mile highway grant, offered an $800 sale option for SE 26 Twp 21, dated by November 1 1966, and adjourned to July 12 1966 after authorizing course attendance and bill payments.

Rossburn Centennial Project grows Lions fund-raising drive
The Park and Playground Development at Pump Station site expands into the Rossburn Centennial Project with a larger landscaping plan and greater financial needs. The Rossburn Lions Club will contribute its usual support, but the community is urged to unite, with individuals and organizations asked to donate time and money to celebrate Canada’s 100th birthday in 1967. Future bulletins will report Centennial Committee meetings.

Annie Lazaruk Dies at 85 in Rossburn Parish
Mrs. Annie Lazaruk 85 formerly of Rossburn died Sunday at Erickson Hospital. She was born in the Ukraine and arrived in Canada in 1928. Surviving are three daughters and six grandchildren with service held June 8 at the Ukrainian Greek Orthodox church in Rossburn. Interment followed at the Parish Cemetery with pallbearers named. Rae's Funeral Home handled arrangements. A. T. Roney.
