Rossburn Museum hosts information day for local students
The Rossburn Museum and Heritage Committee held an information day inviting Rossburn Elementary School students. They toured the museum, heard a presentation on historical crop harvesting tools, watched tool demonstrations, ground wheat, baked bread in a clay oven, and sampled the bread. Blanche Andrew and Frances Kostesky supervise the clay oven bread preparation for the children.

Local residents rise on Manitoba horse circuit
Dave and Jackie Gittins, new to Rossburn since February 2000 from Wales, built a notable horse career with Kilgour Pendragon and a filly. They showed at Welsh Pony and Cob events in Saskatchewan, earning Champion Cob and Champion Female, then Manitoba titles at Carberry and Carman. Kilgour Pendragon was crowned Supreme Champion at the Keystone Pony and Welsh Club show, defeating about 300 horses.

Rossburn reassessment signals tax impact for 2002
The Town of Rossburn will see a 3.53 percent drop in taxable assessment for 2002 while the province posts a 10.20 percent rise.
