Gifts were given to Mrs Beitel including a rose corsage a cup and saucer and a plaque. Patsy Moffat will lead accordion pupils as Beitel departs. piano instruction appeal noted.

Surviving wife Margaret, son Jack, two brothers, two sisters, and several grandchildren are named along with pallbearers. A second obituary notes Anne Shewchuk of Mears district who died at 76, born in Ukraine and arrived in 1914. Surviving son William, three daughters, ten grandchildren, and three great grandchildren are listed. funeral services also held at Ukr Catholic Church with interment in Parish Cemetery.

Rossburn Cub Pack tops at Shoal Lake Cuboree
On Saturday June 5, Rossburn Cub Pack led a first annual Shoal Lake Cuboree with about 20 Rossburn Cubs and around 160 attendees from Rossburn Vista Shoal Lake Birtle Elphinstone Foxwarren and Russell packs. The event featured a Pack Field Day track and field events an Athlete's Badge competition a Baseball Tournament and a campfire with songs and skits. Rossburn earned the most points and received a plaque to be contested at next year’s Pack meet under Cubmaster Flannigan’s closing remarks.
