Plumas woman survives lightning strike on home
Beth Madill was knocked from bed when lightning hit a TV tower and struck her home. She recovered fully though the bolt melted outlets and fried small appliances. Her husband Tom was unharmed in the incident.

Auxiliary walk a-thon raises funds for Rossburn hospital
Rossburn District Health Centre Auxiliary held a Walk-a-Thon on May 29 with seven ladies. Total pledges reached $1,179.75, led by Joyce Kristalovich with $752 and Anne Antonin with $124. Cookies and drinks were donated by local businesses and leftovers went to Personal Care Home residents. All funds support hospital equipment.
