Autopac rate changes tied to claims shown by MPI filing

Rossburn RCMP report multiple assault incidents and arrests

The Rossburn RCMP reported several assaults including an 18 year old female involved case, a spousal assault with bodily harm, and a boyfriend girlfriend dispute. Additional charges included driving over 80 mgs, breach of recognizance, and possession of marijuana. A death on Waywayseecappo First Nation was ruled natural causes. The detachment issued a raffle fundraiser for community policing projects and to distribute member action photos to children.

Drinking and Driving Penalties Tighter in Manitoba Legislation

Manitoba introduces proposed laws to enforce a lower 0.05 blood alcohol level with immediate 24 hour licence suspension and a 40 dollar reinstatement fee. Justice Minister Vic Toews and Highways Minister Glen Findlay cite research on impairment and road safety. The measure aims to strengthen consequences to deter drinking and driving.
