Obituaries for Albert Chesney and Leonard Bachewich
Obituary notices report the deaths of Albert Thomas Chesney age 73 of Rossburn and Leonard Bachewich age 24 of Nanoose Bay. Chesney died June 26 at Portage la Prairie District Hospital after a long life spanning Ontario Manitoba and Alberta with family in Portage la Prairie Calgary and Brandon. Services were June 29 at Vista United Church Rossburn with interment in Rossburn cemetery. Bachewich died June 10 from a car accident in Nanoose Bay and is remembered by relatives in Sandy Lake Winnipeg and Shoal Lake with services conducted by Rev. Father Kulak. Rae’s Funeral Home managed arrangements.

Bride Elect Honored at Vista Hall Shower
Miss Donna Hamilton was guest of honor at a miscellaneous shower in Vista Hall on Saturday afternoon. She was escorted to a decorated chair as her mother Mrs L Hamilton and sister in law Mrs R Hamilton were seated beside her. A wagon with gifts was drawn in by Mavis Halliday and guests passed around gifts before Donna thanked everyone. Loretta Hrysak managed the guest book and lunch was served to finish the afternoon.

Local Athletes Win Ribbons at Neepawa Track Meet
