Helen Dolores Stach married Steve Peter Zegalski in a 3 00 pm ceremony at St Marys Cathedral. Rev L McClosky officiated with D Lodge at the organ. The bride wore Oriental silk lace and a lace edged veil. Attendants included Judy Melnychuk Joyce Zegalski and Darlene Mochnacz. Best man Walter Mychasin ushers Joe Zegalski and Ron Pradhnuk. After a reception at the Polish National Home the couple left for Ontario.

Alexander Parobeck of Russell Manitoba died June 5 1965 at Sacred Heart Hospital after a long illness aged 74 years 11 months He was born in Austria came to Canada in 1910 and farmed in Angusville later building the Angusville Hotel Then moved to Russell Retired with his wife Lena He leaves five sons Peter Lawrence Evans Mike Johnny and seven daughters Anne Rose Vera Victoria Helen Caroline Lillian and Kenora plus 44 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren Prayers were said at Angusville National Home and the funeral Mass was at the Angusville Ukr Catholic Church Interment followed in the Ukr Catholic Cemetery Funeral arrangements were by Braendle Funeral Home

Bridal Shower For Miss Marlene Reid At United Church
A miscellaneous bridal shower was held Friday in the United Church annex in honor of Miss Marlene Reid bride elect of July 10. Guests greeted her with corsages for Marlene and her mother and groom-elect's mother. Nadia Nahirniak played Here Comes The Bride on accordion as guests took their seats. Mrs. Doris Caldwell offered the address and gifts, Marlene thanked everyone, and all joined in singing For She's A Jolly Good Fellow. A dainty lunch followed. Miss L. Yaskiw led the guest book with about 50 signatures.

Rossburn hosts its 5th annual Lions Club Sports Day on June 26 with 35 ball teams across categories. Bad weather caused a 5:15 p.m. rainout and financial loss, but prize money was paid in full. Despite the rain, many teams traveled long distances and all entries appeared.
