Bernice Carson spent the week end with Ferne Strong. Mervin Crookshanks returned home from Winnipeg Thursday. A speedy recovery is the wish of evryone for John Carson who iis it.
Mrs. Nelson Peden was a visitor in Winnipeg for a few days last week. Mr. George Ogloff with Messrs Michal Antonation Joseph Antonation and Stanley Antonation motored to Winnipeg for a short visit last week. Mrs. Paul Klymchuk and daughter Beverley returned to town after a two week visit with friends and relatives in Saskatchewan. Tony Kalynovich and Steve Mallation represented Oakburn School Board at the Manitoba School Trustees Association convention in Winnipeg last week.
Vera Hamilton visited Mrs. L Warngerts in Angusville last week while Alex McPhail returned from Winnipeg. A Boys and Girls Club social hosted whist with prizes to Mrs. Mike Mackedenski for the ladies and B Rogers for the gentlemens. Consolations went to Faye Chegwin and Reita Stitt. The event included the annual meeting to elect 1948 officers.

Mrs Allan Smith and daughter Shirley visited in Rossburn last week while Mr Mervin Grookshanks traveled to Winnipeg. Olga Barnesky, a local high student, spent the weekend with her brother Alex Barnesky. Birdtail Women’s Institute plans a February meeting at Mrs Wm Maxwell Sr’s home after river mishap. Eddy York aided a victim who was rushed to Brown’s and then Serena Charlie Brown drove him to Rossburn hospital. Speedy recovery wishes go to the injured man.
Miss Lillian Verbowski spent weeks visiting her sister at Solsgirth. Last weeks visitors to Winni peg included Mrs. Obedniak and Pauline, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Deydey. Steve Kuzenko of Winnipeg visited with his parents. Mrs. Paul Yacunik left for Winnipeg for a few weeks with her sister. Mrs. A Macyshyn sprained her hand after falling while carrying wood.
Harry Melnyk of Rossburn spent Christmas with his brothers and friends in the district creating a warm family gathering and shared holiday cheer.
