Pretty Wedding at Angusville January 12
Angusville Greek Catholic Church hosted a wedding on January 12 uniting Fisin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Klein of McNutt Saskatchewan, to Alexander Chuchmich, son of Mrs. Mary Chuchmich and the late Mike Chuchmich. Reverend Luchkin officiated. The bride wore a white silk gown with a long veil and halo, carrying pink and red roses. Bridesmaids Julia Lopchinski and Emily Chuchmuch wore blue and pink gowns with matching veils. Groomsmen Adam Chuchmuch and Steven Karpiuk attended. A wedding dinner followed at the groom’s home, after which the couple planned to settle on the groom’s farm west of Angusville.

Home Is A Dangerous Place Accident Bulletin Reveals
During the last month of the old year thirty six Manitobans died in accidents bringing the 1949 total to 436 the province’s worst year. Home deaths numbered thirteen as fires and falls led the toll. Other causes included misused medicine asphyxia explosion and railway incidents. Traffic accidents added seven deaths. Manitoba Safety Director W Trevor Davies urges greater safety consciousness for 1950.

Mrs. John Peden died suddenly at her Rossburn home January 22 at age 70. Funeral from the residence Tuesday at 1 p.m. V. W. Johnston, longtime Rossburn resident, died January 23 in Regina at age 86. His funeral will be at Rossburn United Church Thursday at 1 p.m. Complete details to follow next week.

Norman Major's Rink Wins One Day Championship
Six local rinks met six invited teams from Kelloe Oakburn Shoal Lake Angusville Russell and Solsgirth on Thursday January 19. Norman Major defeated G Lawman of Shoal Lake and J Cormack beat A Shepherd of Russell in the semi finals. Major defeated Cormack 9-6 in the final after Kelloe rink defaulted.
