Village Council Holds Regular Meeting Minutes
All members and Mayor Moffat attended as the council approved a $10 grant to the Children's Aid Society, filled health forms, and dealt with correspondence. Clair Palmer was appointed 1951 Assessor for $25. By Law 259 reappointed officers. a fire brigade meeting was announced for Jan 26. bills were paid and the council set February 20 as the next meeting date.

Second Annual Convention of Manitoba Urban Assoc
The Second Annual Conference of Manitoba Urban Association met at Stancon on January 15 and 16 with Rossburn represented by Councillor Huston and Mayor Moffat. Ambassadors from Brandon and St Boniface greeted delegates, while Mayor Baltimore of Dauphin delivered the president’s hopeful report. The session noted 128 registered delegates and that 52 of about 80 urban municipalities are paid up members. The association secured direct municipal representation in Manitoba’s Federal Provincial Relations delegation, and Premier Campbell promised a standing government committee on municipal affairs. The conference discussed federal provincial relations, belt tightening, and material reallocation ahead of armament spending.

Manitoba Power Commission Reports Large Rural Electrification
The Manitoba Power Commission announced 1950 progress by W. D. Fallis. Ten thousand new services were connected to hydro lines. Rural electrification extended transmission to 37 towns and 33 farm areas, with four farm areas to receive service in early 1951. December saw 600+ farm connections and new village extensions including Libau Domain Kirkella Uno Kleefeld Hochstadt Wampum Vassar South Junction Sprague Middleboro. A 66 000 volt line between Brandon and Boissevain, new substations at Dugald Headingly Gretna Rivers Winkler Stonewall and Rivers, plus upgrades at Altona. Domestic bills were cut 25 cents from December 31 in 143 towns and villages.
