Ice Carnival raises funds for rink wiring project
Proceeds of 700.00 from the Ice Carnival in Rossburn will fund wiring the new Memorial Sports Arena. J D Andrew will supervise installation once materials are in place. The carnival featured four Queen candidates with Lucille Stitt winning, Sonja Hullick in second, and prizes including a Winnipeg trip. Prizes and exhibitions drew a large crowd despite cold weather.

Former Rossburn Citizen Dies in Wilson Creek B C
George Cormack aged 74 years 6 months 28 days died at his Wilson Creek B C home on Saturday January 12 1952. Cremation was in Vancouver and urn brought to Brandon by his wife Florence and son Melville. Funeral January 18 at Brockies with Rev Sparling officiating. Interment Brandon Cemetery beside first wife Margaret. Survived by wife Florence son Melville and daughters Ruth and Doris. several grandchildren and siblings.
