Regular meeting of the Rural Municipality of Rossburn lists motions approving minutes, financial statements, by law 1087 for borrowing, provisional operating estimates totaling 130 000, and a purchase of a Galion A-600 motor grader Trade in of the Champion 740 grader agreed with payments 20000 cash order 42000 cash on delivery 35650 January 1 1982 balance. Rent for office facilities and copier increased. 1981 patrol and snowplowing rates approved.

Newspaper subscription price to rise in February
The price of a one year subscription to The Burns Review will rise $6.50 from the present $5.00 rate on February 2, 1981. Publisher Greg Nesbitt said the increase is due to higher costs for printing and camera serials. Subscribers have until February 2 to renew at the old rate, with weekly cost remaining at 13 cents.

Oakburn Bonspiel Winners And Sportsmanship Trophy
Oakburn Game and Fish Association held its annual bonspiel on Sunday at Oakburn Arena. The Zemianski rink won based on points with Albert Zemianski leading along with Frank Sitko Delmar Drozda and Janette Zemianski. Ernie Peleshok received the Bill Chwaluk Memorial Trophy from Linda and Anthony Chwaluk.
