Frigid January weather continues with strong winds making it feel colder though no temperature records have been established this past week. The report notes persistent cold conditions across the area with winds strengthening the chill.
The 4H District Public Speaking Finals for ages 10 to 12 will be at Rossburn School Auditorium on Friday January 18 at 8 p.m. A Whist Drive at Vista Hall also on January 18 at 8 p.m. with lunch and 50 cent admission. Hospital Aid meeting January 22 at Mrs. Harris Huston’s home 8 p.m. Ukrainian Variety Concert January 25 at 8 p.m. at Ukrainian National Home with dance after.
A Talent Night will be held in the Rossburn Town Hall on Friday February 8 at 8 00 p m Entries limited to 20 with prizes 10 00 5 00 and 3 00 for top three. A dance follows with music by the Gladstone Rockets Admission 50c adults 25c students Dance 1 00 or 1 50 for couples. Sponsored by the Rossburn Student Council everyone welcome.

Congratulations to Mr and Mrs W H Taylor on their 40th wedding anniversary January 17. RCMP Constable Irvin Yaskiw of Regina spent New Year’s with family, joined by Jack Zahodnik of Elphinstone. Families from Esterhazy, Geraldton, and Winnipeg visited Rossburn and Russell. hospital updates and well wishes for 1963.
