Mrs John Charney expresses gratitude to the doctor and staff at Rossburn hospital and to friends and neighbors for visits and kindness during her stay as a patient.
Mrs. Casey Genovey expresses sincere thanks to the Sisters Russell hospital staff and doctors Lu and Lange for wonderful care during seven days of illness.
The writer extends gratitude to Dr. Dobson and the Rossburn hospital staff for patient care. Special thanks are given to friends who sent cards, calls, and fruit baskets. Cc. V. Gunn.

In loving memory of Frances Antonin who died January 25 1959. The poem expresses heartbreak at her loss and gratitude for her patience and devotion. She is remembered by her husband Andrew and their family with enduring love and silent tears.
Bolton memorial poem recalling the passing of Bill Bolton on January 28 1958. Edna and Ken Bolton plus grandchildren endure sadness and prayers as they remember him. The verse speaks of quiet tears and a whispered message to carry on until a reunion in the future.
A Ukrainian Variety Concert sponsored by the Ukrainian Women's Association will be held Friday at the Ukrainian National Home. Dance to follow. The event was postponed from January 24 due to severe weather.
Community entries record Mr V Hay Miss M Reid and Miss J Fox weekend in Winnipeg. Visitors include Mrs F Plante from Brandon and Mr Mrs Lloyd Dundanson of Flin Flon. Anniversaries and birthdays noted for John Charney 48th, Gordon Taylor 76th with family attendance. Hospital visit and hospital aid meetings scheduled in January.
Talent entries limited to 20 with prizes of 10 5 and 3 dollars. Admission 50 cents for adults and 25 cents for students. A following dance with music by the Gladstone Rockets. Sponsored by Rossburn Student Council. Everyone welcome.
The Rossburn Arena hosts a minor hockey doubleheader this Friday January 2. Russell 12 & Under faces the local 12 & Under team, followed by Birtle Indian School vs the local 14 & Under squad. First game starts at 7 15 p.m.
