A well attended Rossburn meeting empowered a ten member volunteer committee to raise funds for a Memorial Skating Rink. J. G. Stitt was named chair and PR Hadae secretary designate. The group aims to fund roughly 20 000 with about 5 000 already available from a village reserve. New Steam Heating System Installed in Rossburn Garage
Mr R A Stewart of Winnipeg has installed a steam heating system at Slow's Garage in Rossburn. The system includes a boiler room and fixtures to feed four electric blowers around the garage. Plans call for piping steam to Mr Slow's home north of the site. The system promises steadier heat and lower operating costs.

Norman Major leads his four player rink with Lindsay J Cormack and W Snider at Strathcelair as the North Western Bonspiel continues. They have one bye and seven games with six wins, losing only Wednesday night before dropping to the Citizens Event. A second rink under R Carson with D McIntyre S Pokropany and R Irwin opened with two losses, moving to the secondary event. Rinks of lady curlers led by Mrs I Holmes and others from Rossburn and Birtle are noted in the ongoing competition.
