A quiet Winnipeg ceremony united Violet Wilson and Alexander McMillan MacPhail at the Winnipeg Bible Institute chapel on December 22. Rev. R Wesley Affleck officiated. The bride wore aqua marine chiffon with french lace over taffeta and pink rose corsage. Music and singing by Mrs Fratlick enhanced the service, followed by a dinner at The Homestead. Mrs MacPhail, Emerson school staff, will move to the groom’s Vista area farm after the term ends.

Two cars were damaged and occupants shaken near Rossburn on New Year’s Eve when Spencer Taylor and Jos Huston collided into the rear of Jos Huston’s car stopped by traffic. Mr. Huston had a minor forehead cut. no serious injuries reported among Mr. and Mrs. Graham and Mr. and Mrs. Plante.

Rossburn School Hi Lites Back At School Blues
After ten days of holidays Rossburn students return to study with enthusiasm. Students who represented Rossburn High School in the recent Bonspiel in Winnipeg performed well and extend thanks to rivals for a good game. A dance at Tossburne Town Hall on Friday January twenty first features Swing and Sway, Art Olson Way, with novelty and spot dances. Pupils hope teachers a happy prosperous New Year as curling and skating dominate winter activities. Two new footballs purchased. crests ordered for boys and pins for girls. Room 3 welcomes Delores Kenny a Gr 6 student staying with her mother nursing Mr Frank Blaskiewicz.
