Manco Cheese Limited in Rossburn Manitoba opened a new cheese plant producing Canadian cheddar on December 23 1968 with a daily capacity of 56000 pounds of milk. The facility stores and cures about 100000 pounds of cheese and can expand to handle 18000000 pounds of milk annually. Local manager Jim Flanigan invites milk supply inquiries.

Christmas Lighting Competition Winners Named in Rossburn
The Rossburn Christmas Lighting Competition announced winners in commercial and residential categories. Commercial winners were M Slow & Sons Garage and Bidochka's M&M Food Market jointly. residential winner Harry Bidochka with runner up Harry Boychuk. Honorable mentions went to Norman Scarrow and Maron Slow. Judges suggested a special class for scenes or decorations.

Rossburn W I Holds First 1969 Meeting
The Rossburn Women's Institute met at 2 30 p m January 7 at Mrs Pritchard's home. They opened with O Canada and the Creed, discussed donations to Deer Lodge Hospital and Dr Skinner Memorial Fund, and announced March of Dimes sponsorship. Beryl Williamson won the jackpot, donated by Mrs Ab Joiner, with next jackpot from Mrs Cormack. Topics covered Ralph Connor and his works. A pot luck supper followed, meeting closed with Mizpah Benediction. poem by an unnamed author noted. Continued on Page Eight.

Next meeting set for January 21 at 8 pm. Changes in committee assignments noted.
