A series of events announced for January 1969 includes a Vista Hall dance with music by Ed Sally and the Country Four on Friday January 17 featuring door prizes and lunch. a Regional Scout meeting at Rossburn Elementary January 20. jackpot Bingo January 22 at Rossburn Town Hall with multiple prize levels and a $280 jackpot. a January 24 dance at Rossburn Town Hall with music by The Marksmen. and a mixed bonspiel January 25 26 for Hospital Board staff and families with entry $5 per rink followed by an Open Mixed Bonspiel at Vista starting January 31 with three events and entry $8 per rink.
Mrs. Eileen Newman visits her mother Mrs. Nona Peden in Brandon. Various residents report trips to Winnipeg London and Texas and attend events. Square dancing set for January 18 at the Elementary School. Sympathy extended to the Obedniak and Baydock families and others.
Expresses gratitude to Dr Wong and nursing staff for care during hospitalization. Thanks visitors for cards fruit and candy and special thanks to those who looked after the children.
Tom and Sylvia Obedniak and daughters thank neighbors friends and relatives for support during their bereavement after the loss of Mrs Anastasia Obedniak. They acknowledge Rev Lehky Mr Glushka pallbearers Rae's Funeral Home staff Mr Laz aruk Ukrainian Catholic Women’s League and the Kozacks for help and meals and floral offerings and sympathy cards.
The family expresses sincere gratitude to Dr Wong and the Nursing Staff at Rossburn Hospital for their attentive care of Mrs. Anastasia Obedniak during her hospital stay. They also thank the staff for their kindness to the family during visits.
A student expresses thanks to classmates who assisted with stairs in a wheelchair at school and to the teaching staff led by Mr. Erickson. Gratitude also goes to Matt and Millicent Sawchuk for wheelchair use and to hospital staff for sending schoolwork during Brandon General Hospital stay.
