At a Rossburn Curling Club meeting on Wednesday evening the winter schedule was approved. Anyone seeking to form a new rink should contact Doug Joiner or Mrs Margaret Stitt. All rinks must include at least one woman curler. Fourteen skips were chosen to organize their rinks and the club welcomed outside entries.

Gratitude expresses for numerous donations to the Ross Burn Hospital over recent months. Items include vegetables from W Maydaniuk and A Derlago, a stainless steel medicine cart from Hospital Aid, nursery linen, pillows and spreads, potatoes from Dr Dobsor, a vaporizer from Hospital Aid, candy, coloring books and pencils from J Fox, a grocery hamper from Vista ladies led by Mrs Harvey Hamilton and others, and treats for patients from Hospital Aid.
Rossburn Health Unit invites families to a Well Baby Clinic on Thursday January 10 from 1 30 to 3 30 p m. The event provides pediatric checkups and guidance for infants and young children.
A schedule of prenatal classes starts January 16 at 2 00 pm at Rossburn Health Unit. Eight weekly sessions cover family nutrition unborn baby development and labour with fathers invited to the final hospital tour.
