Bingo at Ukrainian National Home nets 38 dollars

Rossburn Defeats Isabella In Intermediates Hockey Clash
Rossburn Intermediates regained scoring form in a high pace game against Isabella. Leading 42 at the first period end and 45 at halftime, Rossburn overwhelmed Isabella with a passing attack as Steve Strank scored four goals and Delroy Stitt added three. Mentuck, Heindle T Brown, Mychalyshyn, Twerdochub also contributed while Rossburn-Palmer, Brown, Matiowsky and Joiner added later goals. Crowd turnout was noted as a concern for club finances.

The Vista W I group met February 14 at Mrs. Dick Baker’s home with thirteen members present. They discussed a biography on Vista’s beginnings and heard an engaging talk on Indian Affairs by Mr. Ferguson. A birthday was celebrated, and lunch followed. Eighteen rinks from Russell Shellmouth Rossburn Vista Angusville Binscorth and Inglis contested the event. Rossburn sent three rinks led by Donald Murphy Sonia Silewich Eddie Kreshewski Mildred Kohach and Wayne McKnight. Murphy rink finished second in the second event John Murphy third amid reports of a well run meet and lighthearted local banter about the open bonspiel setup and school humor.

The Passing Years and an Agricultural Meeting Report
A poem reflecting on the seasons contrasts winter and summer with nature’s renewal and farewell. An Agricultural meeting in the Municipal Office on Saturday February 16 drew 18 members. Lunch was decided for February 27 at National Elevator films, a 10 game bingo at 50c was planned, and the Porkupines were invited to perform for a dance on April 26 and for Fair dances. The next meeting is March 2 to revise the Fair Thursday Night Valentine Dance. Bill Taylor won 15 dollars and Gwen Zegalski won 10 dollars.
