Rossburn Credit Union marks progress at annual meeting
The 16th annual Rossburn Credit Union Society meeting in Town Hall saw 131 members and guests dine, with entertainment by Miss Clark and Bat on Twirlers and musicians Miss Linda Kirk and Chris Matthews. Reports show 103 new members in 1968, assets at $602,055, and dividends declared 4 percent on insured and 5 percent on uninsured 1968 savings from undivided earnings. New officers elected include L. C. Johnston and George Lawless to the board for three years, Louis Kurchaba for two, Rowatt Veitch to the Supervisory Committee for three years, and Nicholas Stupinsky to the Credit Committee for three years.

Wenitoway Couple Celebrates Fifty Years in Foxwarren
Mr and Mrs Alex Wenitoway of Foxwarren marked their fiftieth wedding anniversary on February 6 1969. Messages came from Governor General Mitchener Prime Minister Trudeau and party leaders with greetings from Manitoba leaders and local MPs. A family dinner honored the pair who have two sons Leonard and Zane and four daughters. They have nineteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. A summer family reunion is planned.

Dr S Peikoff Returns Home for Surprise Open House
An open house in honor of Dr S Peikoff was held at the Ukrainian National Home in Rossburn on February 17 with sixty guests signing the register. The event gave the doctor a nostalgic chance to meet former patients and old friends as he spoke briefly and thanked organizers for the successful surprise gathering.
