Two Options Proposed For CNR Rossburn Subdivision
The Grain Handling and Transportation Commission heard CN proposals on upgrading or transferring the Rossburn Subdivision spanning 104.27 miles from Rossburn north of Neepawa to Russell. CN favors long term continuance or CP Rail operation, detailing cost estimates of about 22.8 to 23.9 million dollars for line upgrades and rail replacements to support fully loaded grain hopper cars. The hearing included many local groups and chambers of commerce presenting briefs on the line’s future and revenue security.

Fun Day Hockey Tournament Draw Brings Four Random Teams
The Rossburn Minor Hockey Association hosted a fun day tournament for eight and under players on Saturday February 7. Towns Russell Binscorth Angusville and Rossburn were represented as players were drawn into four random teams. All players played two games and enjoyed fellowship as organizers thank volunteers.
