Memorial Services for King George VI Observed in Rossburn
Memorial events by Rossburn Branch No 40 Canadian Legion begin at 1 45 p m at the Legion Hall with a wreath laying at the Cenotaph and a short service in memory of King George VI followed by a queen’s blessing. A 2 30 p m memorial service in the United Church will be led by Pastor W B Eaton and Rev Barclay. Everyone is welcome.

Rossburn Folk School Offers Week of Leadership Training
The Manitoba Federation of Agriculture and Co operation with the Division of Physical Fitness and Recreation will run a one week Folk School and Leadership Course in Rossburn from February 20 to 27. Sessions cover co operative and farm movements credit unions community economic and social programs leadership and self expression with day classes and evening leadership training. Cost is 12.00 per student plus 1.00 for evening classes. Registration due by February 16 with a 2.00 advance fee to the Youth Department in Winnipeg or to H Huston or B Mitchell in Rossburn.

Eight rinks competed in a one day Calf Club Bonspiel held in Rossburn last Saturday. John Williamson's team won the main event with Leslie Taylor runner up. Solsgirth and John Mitchell were third and fourth. In the secondary event Foxwarren Solsgirth Shoal Lake and Foxwarren earned prizes.
