Funeral rites for Mrs Irene Kostuik
Mrs Irene Kostiuk aged 62 died at her daughter Mrs Matt Kaban’s Ruthenia district residence. Born in Austria 1878 she immigrated to Canada 1905 and farmed eight miles north of Bird tail. Funeral services were held January 28 at 10 a.m. at the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church Ruthenia with Rev Lehky of Rossburn officiating, burial at the local cemetery. Raginski Funeral Home arranged. Pallbearers listed. Out of town mourners included Mr and Mrs Fred Kostiuk of Grandview.

Vista Washington February meeting of the Woman's Auxiliary was held at Mrs H Hamilton's with six members and three visitors present. The group sang hymns No 148 and No 488. Mrs Hugh Armstrong read a story and a knitted article was offered for the bazaar as roll call. A Life Membership Certificate was presented to Mrs Margaret Miller.
