Rossburn Rural Council Accepts Kryna Bros Offer for Road Machinery
The Rossburn Rural Municipality council met February 12 1960 in special session to approve the sale of road building equipment to Kryna Bros Grandview Manitoba for 20000 with 5000 cash and the rest in 1960 61 and 62 via road work payments of at least 25 percent of annual earnings. The items include a TD 184 crawler tractor model 511 Gar Wood scraper and a Smith Angledozer model W18. Wilson Wilson to draft the sale agreement and by law authorization approved. The council adjourned to March 8 1960 regular meeting.

Miss Gwen Zegalski Visits Rossburn Parents
Win nipeg resident Miss Gwen Zegalski spent the weekend at the home of her parents Mr and Mrs Pete Zegalski in Rossburn. Ron Jackman who worked at the Toronto Dominion Bank here for a year leaves Sunday for Winnipeg to reside. He will be missed for his help in the Curling Club Hockey Club and the Wolf Cub Group.

Funeral Rites Held for George Danyleyko at Pete's Lake
Funeral service for George Danyleyko was held on February 16 at Pete's Lake United Church after his death on February 12. Born July 7, 1877, he immigrated from Western Ukraine in 1902 and farmed near Rossburn, retiring in 1944. He helped found the church later known as Pete's Lake United Church. burial was in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers and honorary pallbearers are listed. attendees included his children from Ontario, Winnipeg, Manitowage, and British Columbia. Card of thanks notes gratitude to Dr Layng, nurses, hospital staff, Rev Standret, Rae's Funeral Home, and supporters.

The Rossburn Credit Union Society met February 8 at the Andrew residence from 7 to 8 30 p m and again February 11 at 8 p m to finish business Fifteen new members were approved eleven loans totaling 4870 and three extensions were granted The January shares increased by over 6000 and members received 1730 in dividends and interest rebates The meeting adjourned to March 14 at 8 p m with further business planned.
