Waywayseecappo Reserve edged Inglis 7 to 4 in overtime after a slow match caused by sticky ice. Rossburn players held a 3-1 lead after the first period with Inter mediate players T Tromrud George Heindle and J Dutkiewicz contributing.
In an overtime thriller the score was tied 6 6 before George Heindle scored the winning goal in the first overtime period for the Reserve. Rossburn goal scorers included G Heindle Dutkiewicz Seaton Leveright and Brandon. The Reserve delivered a strong hockey display and supporters are urged to encourage them to continue their good play.
About seventy five people attended the Agricultural Society meeting on Web Feb 3. Dr E L Houck, Provincial Veterinary Inspector spoke on Livestock Diseases with Bangs Disease highlighted by film. The society thanks Mr Murphy for the projector. Future talks include Dirk Painter on Insect Control and H E Wood on Weeds and Sprays. watch for dates.
Dr James McCartan departed this week for Chicago and additional U S locations to pursue postgraduate training. At Winnipeg he will join Dr Greenberg, associate of Dr S S Peikoff, and the pair expect to be away about a week.
Rev. Robert E. Harper presents a study on John 8 12 where Jesus offers living water at the Feast of Tabernacles. The lesson contrasts belief and doubt among listeners, affirms Jesus as the light of the world and source of spiritual life, and explains that knowledge of the Father comes through Christ.
On December 23 1953 Rev F Gaether united Isabell Kleebaum Russell and James Naf Angusville in marriage. The satin gown with net veil and ice blue rhinestone jewelry led the bridal party as Lillian Kleebaum and Olga Zemlick served as bridesmaids. Pledges were signed with organist Reta Fingas playing O Perfect. A supper followed at the bride’s home and a dance at Silverton Hall.
The family expresses sincere thanks to relatives and friends for kindness, sympathy, cards and floral tributes during the illness and passing of a beloved wife and mother. Gratitude is extended to all who offered help in any way.

The Rossburn Calf Club sponsors a meeting featuring Dr McIntyre of Russell speaking on Common Ailments among Cattle. It is set for Friday February 12 at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Hall. Films will be shown and visiting chub members are hoped to attend.
The Manitoba Farmers Union Rossburn Local 31 held its annual meeting on January 25 1954 with attendance. E Caldwell was elected president and B Mitchell vice president, both by acclamation. M Sotas H Boychuk M Pokropany A Kostesky A Saley were elected board members. J Plant was re elected president at a subsequent board meeting.

The Women's Institute held a Saturday February six Tag Day for the March of Dimes netting 101 dollars. Canvassers appointed by Mrs Ukrainetz included Mrs Ament Mrs Armstrong Mrs Bell Mrs Cleland Mrs Langridge Mrs Menzies Mrs Murphy Mrs J Stitt Mrs Wilson Stitt Mrs Williamson and Donald Ukrainetz.

Weed inspectors named per ward. Finance committee Councillors Trakalo and Baubie. Rates for municipal aid and office rentals set. Bangs Vaccination payments approved and refundable by Agriculture Dept. One Old Age Pension application approved. Aid to Municipalities grant resolution passed. One half car load of plank culverts road signs ordered. Bills approved for payment.
