St Theresa R C Church Names Committees at 1972 Meeting
A January 16 1972 gathering at St Theresa R C Church elected a men’s committee members Joe Zimmerman Solsgirth Walter Wesejak and Michael F Kostesky and appointed Mike Fiel as parish cemetery caretaker with a $2 parish family fee and $5 per job. A ladies committee was chosen President Frances Kostesky Secretary Iris Kostecki Treasurer Rose Kostiak. Plans for kitchen items and fundraisers were discussed with a follow up meeting urged to secure parish support. Continuous parish involvement was requested to fund upkeep of church and rectory.

The Ukrainian Catholic Women's League met February 1 at Mrs Sophie Baubie's home with 17 members. Dora Verbowsky presided as minutes from November were adopted and the treasurer reported. Members approved a $25 donation to St Vladimer College. A May bingo raffle and a April 1 tea and bake sale were planned. Jackpot was won by Mrs Anne Slon. Next meeting is March 7 at Nellie Lazaruk's home.
