A crowd near 800 attended the January 28 opening of the newly renovated Rossburn Arena. Dignitaries included Mayor Rick Plaisier and Reeve John Mitchell with MLA Harry Graham cutting the ribbon. The event featured a CKX-tras versus Rossburn Lions hockey game, a gift presentation, and a Victory Dance with Adam Krupa’s Orchestra. The project total reached $140,006, funded by community donations and a late estate bequest.

Rossburn wins district volleyball final over Grandview
The Winter Games Volleyball team took the District playoff at Grandview winning 3 games to 1 in the final after a Round Robin tie with Rossburn and Grandview and Russell on 6 points. Rossburn will practice February 3 at the Collegiate from 7 to 9 p.m. for regional finals at Roblin.
