The Rossburn Credit Union Board met on Thursday December 15 with all members present Supervisory and credit committees represented. Eighteen new members were accepted bringing 1964 year to date to 101. The government auditor praised management. Total assets stood at 173000 November 30. The board approved full time wages for the manager. Next meeting set for January 11 1965.

Sebastian Sicinski Dies at Shoal Lake Hospital
Sebastian Sicinski died December 8 at Shoal Lake Hospital near Elphinstone after retiring in 1944 to Elphinstone. A funeral was held December 9 at 10:00 a.m. officiated by Rev Soroviak with interment at the local cemetery. Survived by wife Katherine and siblings, pallbearers listed. Raginski Funeral Home arranged services.

Mrs Yagilnicky of Oakburn Dies at 70
Mrs Josephine Yagilnicky of Oakburn died December 8 at Shoal Lake Hospital aged 70 after years of illness. Born in Western Ukraine she came to Canada, married Paul Yagilnicky, and settled near Oakburn Colony. Funeral services were held at Ukr Greek Catholic Church Colony with Rev Oliynek officiating. Survived by husband Paul, daughter Mary Rudiak, three sons John Peter and Mike, siblings, seven grandchildren, and multiple nephews and nieces.

Rossourn 4H Calf club met December 3 in the School Auditorium with Russell And and Janieth Johnston as secretary and reporter. The group approved paying gas to cars for meetings at Russell and Birtle and held its second Sewing Club meeting December 7. They served lunch at the Sewing Achievement Night on December 12 and announced another Bonspiel with the Calf Club.
