Runaway Child Reported on Lizard Point Reserve
Rossburn RCMP responded to a runaway child report on the Lizard Point Indian Reserve on December 3. The same period saw an intoxicated person charged for disturbance and probation breach, property damage from power turns, a spruce theft for a Christmas tree, a break in and theft at a farm house, an impaired driving charge, a found wallet returned to owner, and an assault investigation on the Reserve.

Rossburn council approves 1988 budget actions and street seal bids
The Village of Rossburn held its December meeting with Mayor Morley Kostecky presiding. Hoppers expected to decline in Manitoba next year
Manitoba Agriculture entomologist Jim McCullough says grasshopper infestations will drop to their lowest since 1979 in 1988, shrinking infested areas by 1,352 square kilometres. The outbreak began around 1981 82, peaked 1985, with 15 550 square kilometres affected. no severe infestations are expected, with moderate and light areas detailed.
