Rossburn village council meeting covers staff rules and water sales
The Council of the Village of Rossburn met on Wednesday November 25 at 7:30 pm with Mayor Morley Kostecky and all councillors present. Discussions covered employee holidays sick leave and arena duties with time off to be arranged via the Maintenance Supervisor. Overtime only in emergencies. extra time banked for later. The group also explored installing coin operated bulk water to replace bulk deliveries. Maintenance reports noted arena stair carpeting arena lighting and a possible blade for the industrial tractor. Angela Kostesky reported on a Russell meeting about Support Services to Seniors including meals transportation and shopping escorts and a December 8 meeting in Rossburn. Shire Kalyniuk said new uniforms for the Rossburn Fire Department were ordered with delivery expected early December.

Manitoba Farmland Values Slip in Early 1987 Quarter
Manitoba Agriculture data show average land value at 347 per acre in the first quarter of 1987, down 8.2 percent from two years earlier. Transfers fell to 1,156 from 1,341 in 1986, a 13.8 percent drop, while total acres traded declined 21.4 percent to 211,235.
