Manitoba Hydro again offers free energy for municipal ornamental lighting during the festive season. Eligible councils in the service area can use the energy from December 16, 1978, to January 7, 1979. The free energy tradition began in 1935 when the Manitoba Power Commission first offered support for rural festive lighting.
The United Church Sunday School and Choir present their annual White Gift programme on Sunday December 17 at 7 30 p m in the Rossburn church. The theme is A Festival of Lights highlighting historical winter celebrations and the sun’s return.
