Donn Mitchell retained his seat on the Advisory Committee of the Canadian Wheat Board with a narrow 61 vote margin over Brad McDonald. Of 130 368 ballots mailed to Froatcers in ten districts, 54 847 were returned, a 42.07 percent turnout. District two saw a tight race with 5 340 ballots cast, while W J Strath trailed. Spoiled ballots totaled 4.

The second meeting at 11 a.m. approved waiving procedural policy and granting staff transfers and staffing changes for January 1 1979. The meetings adjourned to Monday December 11 at 1 30 p m.
