Scotland Trip Reunites Canadian Relatives during Two Week Tour
Mr and Mrs Neil Wilkie returned to Rossburn after a two week tour of Scotland. They visited Fordyce Castle birthplace of Grandpa Andrew and connected with the family of the late Mr and Mrs George Andrew formerly of Vista. George, Dorothy and Christena left Canada 44 years ago and have not been in contact with Canadian relatives since, but remain interested in Vista Valley Perth and Menzie School communities. Neil and Lorraine reported a wonderful time.

Quebec 4 H members visit Russell Roblin area
Thirty four 4 H members and three escorts from Quebec visited 4 H families in Russell Roblin Ag. Rep. areas last week as part of an Open House Canada exchange with St. Eloie Quebec. The goal was to show youth how families live in another part of Canada and although communication was a problem in many host homes, the exchange was deemed highly worthwhile by participants and families.

At 8 00 A M in the Rossburn council chambers Reeve John Mitchell and councillors Klym Peleshok and Antonow heard and approved motions. Agriculture Minister Jim Downey announced the appointment of four new directors to the five member Manitoba Agricultural Credit Corporation board. Recreation Services Grant extends summer program outcomes
The Young Canada Works grant funded nine local workers for area projects this summer including two adventure playgrounds at Rossburn and Rossman Lake, a Harvest Festival concession stand, arena upgrades at Angusville, and other improvements. Administrative challenges include weather, tools, and timely project start readiness. planning for next year calls for predefined jobs and equipment to reduce delays.
