The Birdtail Women’s Institute held its August meeting at Mrs Ev Angeline Kuzenko’s home with six members present. Roll call urged bringing wild or garden flowers, minutes and treasurer’s report were read, Parkland Festival booth noted, quilts and Afghan raffles drawn by Mr John Malynn, Vernon Rollings of Erickson won the quilt and Mrs Karen Bergeson won the Afghan. Next meeting set for October 2 at Mrs Karen Bergeson’s home. Jackpot won by Mrs Alice Hrubeniuk. Institute Ode and lunch concluded the gathering.
