Indians take their problems to Ottawa

Rossburn Parkland Downs was named by a three judge panel on August 8 1982. The opening ceremony is set for August 15 with dignitaries present. Time trials for Open Futurity and Open Derby determined top finishers ahead of the August 14 finals and roughly 6500 dollar purse.

Festival a success at Boggy Creek three day event

Boggy Creek hosted a three day Call of the Wild music festival drawing an estimated 20 000 to 25 000 attendees from across Canada and the United States. Organizer Lewis Kaselitz praised security and on site facilities while RCMP reported some liquor drug and traffic charges.

McAuley Blazers score the winning run in the 10th despite two Cardinal errors, taking game three to claim the series two games to one. Herman West homered in the ninth to force the tie. McAuley will face Binscorth in the North final opener.
