On August 6 Angusville Cardinals beat Rossburn 18 to 0 in the Northwestern League semi final opener with a no hit bid by pitchers Larry Mann and Henry Hrubeniuk. Merril Kiliwnik and Wayne Luba added triples while Mann also tripled. On August 8 at Angusville the Cardinals won 13 to 5 to clinch a finals berth with Jerry Werbowski supporting from the mound alongside Mann and Hrubeniuk. Barry Wowk tripled and Luba doubled in the win. The team advances to face the Strathclair Foxwarren winner.
