Manitoba schools linked by new communications network
Manitoba InfoTech and Cybershare sign a cooperative deal to create a province wide educational communications network via the Manitoba Telephone System. The system links schools to a central computer for education data including attendance, scheduling and accounting with inter school messaging and file transfers. Cybershare expands to over 500 schools. InfoTech Manitoba opens as Canada’s first industry government resource centre for teacher training and courseware development.
