Landowner elk licences for Shoal Lake season
The Department of Natural Resources in Shoal Lake announces landowner elk hunting licences for game areas 23 and 23A from August 26 to November 16. Licences available at D N R offices in Shoal Lake Dauphin Roblin Neepawa and Winnipeg through November 16. Landowners may purchase at Shoal Lake Tuesdays and Fridays 8 00 AM to 4 00 PM. Licences also issued at Herod Hall Wednesday August 21 1 00 PM to 4 00 PM and RM of Rossburn office Thursday August 22 1 00 PM to 4 00 PM.

Rossburn Main Street project approved
Municipal Affairs Minister Andy Anstett announced funding for Rossburn's Main Street upgrade with total costs of 230 912 dollars. The province will cover two thirds and eligible businesses receive one third up to 500 dollars per property. The plan includes paving stone streetscape upgrades, lighting, fencing, pocket parks, landscaping, a downtown kiosk, entrance signs, and new storefront treatments to boost pedestrian safety and appeal.
