Wasyl Kowal of Oakburn died Monday July 22 at Shoal Lake hospital at age 83. Born in Western Ukraine he came to Canada in 1903 and farmed near Oakburn until 1944 then moved to Oakburn village. Funeral at Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church with Rev. Romanyshyn officiating. Interment local cemetery. Survived by wife Rose and daughters Anne Lena Rose. Raginski Funeral Home in charge.
