Clothing Club Achievement Night Held in Town Hall
The Clothing Club held its Achievement Night on Tuesday April 5 at 8 p.m. in the Town Hall basement with thirteen ladies and one girl modeling. Mrs Caroline Antonin chaired. Miss McAuley guided design and a talk on the Use of Accessories followed. Music by Pat Moffat and Mrs Lussier accompanied. lunch served. Miss McAuley thanked with a gift for her visits despite blizzard conditions. The group plans to model garments again for Easter.

Bingo Winners Tie in Oakburn Jackpot Game
Oakburn Parish Hall hosted a Tuesday jackpot bingo with numerous winners listed by name including John Leg anchuk and Freda Medye in ties. Free ticket prize went to Mrs. T Skavinski while several locals visited relatives in Winnipeg and elsewhere.

Hazel Parypa dies at 53 in Shoal Lake district
Mrs Hazel Parypa 53 died at Hamiota Hospital on April 7. Born March 8 1913 in Rossburn she lived in the McConnell district 30 years. Survived by husband Michael two sons Bill Strathclair and John at home four sisters and four brothers. Prayers were April 10 and funeral April 11 at St Josephats Ukr Catholic Church with Rev Slabaj officiating. Interment Parish Cemetery. Pallbearers include brothers and brothers in law.

United Church Women Meet at Vista Home
The Vista U C W met at Mrs Dennis Youngs with 10 ladies. An Easter service, readings, and Lord's Prayer opened the meeting. Officers reported, funds were allocated for a cardigan, quilts were completed, and plans for May events and visits were discussed. Visitors welcome at the May 4 meeting hosted by Mrs Andrew Belinsky.
