Defeat of Rebels Reported in Tuesday Engagement
From M Chieran s Anny the results of Tuesday s fight was decidedly in our favor with rebels defeated in every action. The fighting was desperate as fresh troops filled gaps and rebels appeared to disregard their men's lives. At the close Union troops were in fine spirits and eager to fight.
