The first year typing class of 16 mastered the alphabet of the keys. English Literature students read Chaucer and Shakespeare excerpts. Spanish I students spell and greet in conversation. Music elected band officers Kathryn Majorowicz, Joan Rutgers, Karen Truelson, Jeanne Lavery and formed a girls' glee club and mixed quartet. World History covered Demosthenes, Aristophanes and Sophocles.
