Pocahontas Couple Mark Fortieth Wedding Anniversary
Mr and Mrs Leo Keleher observed their fortieth anniversary with Mass at St Josephs in Palmer and an open house on Sunday. Rev Cletus Keleher celebrated the Mass. about 100 relatives attended the open house. The couple and their family, including six children and two grandchildren, were noted in Pocahontas and Palmer connections. Names include Louis Miller and Roy Miller among guests. Keleher farm life noted since 1914 marriage in Pocahontas.

Bride wore chantilly lace gown with seed pearl details. attendants included twin nieces as flower girls and Dean Hudek as ring bearer. Mrs Hudek wore lavender blue two piece dress with rosewood accessories and Mrs Ballard wore a blue jewel two piece suit with black accessories. After the ceremony guests at the Legion hall were catered by hospitality team led by Mrs Reyburn and Mrs Altmann. The four tier cake with yellow roses sat center stage with sterling candle holders and smilax. Guests included Mrs C R Bush who cut the cake and Mrs Frank Rutgers who poured, while others assisted at serving and the punch bowl. The bride Garnette Smith sang with her mother at the guest book and gift tables. The couple, both graduates of Pocahontas and Sacred Heart high schools, are employed locally and left for a two week wedding trip.
