Car Tractor Crash West of Gilmore City on Highway 3
A Friday September 4 1964 accident 14 miles west of Gilmore City involved a 1962 International tractor and spreader driven by Daryl D Hutchinson 30 of Gilmore who suffered bruised legs and about 50 dollars in damage to the tractor. A 1967 Chevrolet driven by William F Kramer Jr sustained about 350 dollars in damage. The Pocahontas County Sheriff's office investigated. A second one car crash occurred 73 miles south on Highway 17 Saturday September 5 1964 at 12 45 pm with a 1962 Cadillac sustaining 400 dollars in damage and a fence 50 dollars damaged.

Two Car Crashes Reported in Pocahontas County
Pocahontas County sheriff investigated a Tuesday August 7 1964 two car crash at the High way 3 Rumboldt County line road. Thomas Walker 36 of Stoughton Wisconsin and Charles R. Hoveland of Gilmore City were involved. Walker drove a 1968 Chevrolet damaged on the left front. Beatrice M. Walker 55 of Stoughton Wisconsin was treated later. Highway Patrol handled the incident.

State Aid Given For Transportation in Pocahontas County
County Superintendent H. M. Granner announced that transportation state aid warrants were received this past week. Seven districts in Pocahontas County qualified as shares were prorated from a state appropriation of four million dollars with a 56.79 percent distribution rate.
